Responsibilities:
Engineering analysis to select and execute detailed electronics design approaches to carry out the design and schedule goals set by Santa Cruz New Product Development (NPD) team – including communication with the Santa Cruz development team, select and estimate their costs of electrical devices, components, assemblies and systems development for new or OEM communication headset and base products. Carry out front-end feasibility study, prototyping, pilot run, guiding QA electrical tests and production line start-up/support.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Engineering majored in electronics engineering.
5+ years electronics design experience in R&D.
Knowledge and experience in audio signal theory and sound quality.
Skills in basic analog and digital electrical circuit design.
Basic understanding in RF communication and EMC design.
Basic understanding in electro-acoustic transducers, e.g. microphones and speakers.
Be able to read and write technical specifications in English.
Hands-on approach to circuit prototyping and verification measurement.
Experience with PCB layout electrical design.
Experience with lab equipment, i.e. Audio Precision, B&K and equivalent.
Be able to carry out designs independently and also coordinate with team members from other functions, e.g. mechanical, manufacturing and quality assurance, etc. -- A good team player.
Skills in high volume production from definition into production on very aggressive schedules and to be cost sensitive
Understandable written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Very Desirable
Experience on telephone terminal equipments and systems.
Advanced degree in electronics.
Experience with PSPICE computer simulation.
Experience in multinational R&D department .
