Job Title:         (Principal / Senior / Assistant) Mechanical Engineer

Major Job Responsibilities:

1.        Working as mechanical designer in the product development projects.
2.        Be responsible for project planning, product designing, report writing, and product testing activities.
3.        Contributing to the development of mechanics team, including technology evaluation & reviews, process development & improvement, and subcontractors selection, etc.
4.        Carrying out technology development projects, such as product analysis & technology studies, etc.

(Principal / Senior Engineer should act as mentor to train and lead younger engineers for their project work and competence development.)

Requirements:
1.        Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2.        At least:
Two years (for Engineer)
Four years (for Senior Engineer)
Eight years (for Principal Engineer)
Product development experience
(Less than two years experience: Assistant Engineer)

a) Should have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.

b) Should be very proficient in Pro-Engineer 2001 and/or Wildfire 2.0.  Proficiency in CATIA V5 is also desireable.
c) Should have a minimum of 3 years of mechanical design experience in injection molded plastic parts, stamped metal parts, and other components for consumer electronic products i.e., mobile phones, mp3 players, and home appliances.   Injection mold and stamping die tooling background is also desireable.

d) Should be experienced in managing product design projects from initial concepts to mass production.

e) Should be able to read and write in English.  Ability to speak English is also desireable.

g) Must be a team player with integrity and proactive in solving problems.

h) Knowledge in  design tools like Tolerance Analysis, GD&T, DFMEA, Six Sigma, FEA, and concurrent engineering is desirable.

I)  Must be willing to do what it takes to meet project schedules and customer requirements.
