============================== Sustaining =========================
• The position is responsible for sustaining engineering activities in support of desktop¬ebook products in production.
• This includes feature add implementations, quality improvements, continuity ofsupply resolution, and cost reduction activities.
• This will entail a fair amount of technical work, but will also require a significantamount of interfacing with the extended engineering organization.
• Work with suppliers to obtain necessary information to ensure productmanufactureability and delivery quality.
• Drive the process and ensure all the qualification and validation tests thorough.
• Ensure all electrical issues are driven to closure through root cause and perform real-time feedback. Ensure that common issues for other programs are communicated asnecessary.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team to take and support products from massproduction till End Of Product Life.
Education:
Mininum: Bachelor Degree
Preferred: Master Degree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Understanding of PC product test methods and theories.
• Understanding of hardware/software/driver interactions.
• Understand PC architecture. Ability to identify potentialproduct weaknesses and be able to provide design guidance for resolution.
• Detail-oriented with attention to product quality while working under date-driven schedules.
• Verbal and written communication skills. Problem solving and analysis skills.
============================= Development ============================
The position includes developing and qualifying electronic designs for desktop & Notebook systems. Duties include activities to take a design from concept to production. The EE engineer is responsible for working cross-functionally to ensure the design meets the requirements for: feature set, functionality, cost, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance.
 Work with suppliers to obtain necessary information to enable successful implementation of designs to better align with Dell’s requirements.
 Responsible for electrical design of assigned system/subsystem. Drive system architecture definition and ensure consistency/compatibility and ensure the manufacturability, reliability and serviceability of designs.
 Support the prototype PWA builds.
 Drive the process and ensure test plans are  thorough.
 Ensure all electrical issues are driven to closure through root cause and perform real-time feedback. Ensure that common issues for other programs are communicated as necessary.
 Work as part of a cross-functional team to take product from concept through prototype and into production.
Education:
