SUMMARY
Take the major responsibility for leading the electronics & system integration design for Server and Storage projects. Provide necessary inputs to design and validation engineers for the design implementation and quality assurance. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within Jabil Circuit by harnessing new design technologies and methodologies. Provide exceptional support to external and internal customers, team members, and other persons through technical project coordination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

·          Server & Storage System Specific Design expert
·          Technical Lead /Design team Leader
·          Lead Product Electronics design (covering the whole project life cycle) which includes the schematics, simulation, High-speed layout, System Bring-up, Debug, validation and introduction to manufacturing etc.
·          Lead Electronic Design to support System Architect for system architecture design & feasibility Study
·          Sourcing of alternative functional blocks for compatibility and cost effectiveness and benchmarking of these functional blocks, Create BOM & AVL, assist SCM to pick strategic vendors & parts to meet design goals
·          Prototype bring-up & assist EVT & DVT testing for clarifying related issues
·          System validation for SPIT (Signal, Power, Integrity & Timing) measurements
·          System level debug and root cause analysis
·          End of life re-design, New vendor qualification, and Design related issues found in Manufacturing or Field
·          Speed bump increases to Memory, CPU and other critical system components etc.

Person Background:
·          Candidates should have 7+ years computing-related design experience and 5 or more years experience in Server & Storage System design & lead
·          The following essential qualifications and experiences must be requested:
a)       Bachelor or Master in Electronics, computing engineering
b)       Working knowledge of Intel, AMD, Broadcom, LSI,  Vitesse etc Server and Storage class Processors or chipsets
c)       Working knowledge of windows & Linux configuration, installation procedure, network configuration, driver configuration etc
d)       Hands-on design knowledge of Gigabit/10Giga Ethernet, Ultra-SCSI 320, Fiber Channel, PCI-x, PCI Express, DDR-I/DDR-II, USB2.0, SATA-II & SAS, BMC and Infiniband etc
e)       High performance RISC / X86 CPUs and architecture inc. Intel P4, Xeon, Itanium, AMD Opteron & Athlon64
f)         Strong electrical & PCB design and debug skills  

·          Knowledge of the following would be desirable:
a)     Experience of working in medium sized multidisciplinary development teams
b)         Ability to self install various Operating Systems (Linux, Unix, Windows Adv Server & XP)
c)         Software and hardware validation of multi-media, networks, operating systems and I/O devices against the DVT (Device Validation and Test) schedule
d)         System validation including DVT (Design Validation Trial), SPIT (Signal, Power, Integrity & Timing) environmental & regulatory approval.
e)         Proficiency Level Written and Verbal English Skills
