  You will work with some of the hottest mobile technologies on the market and join a highly motivated team to build great mobile phone products.


  As (Senior) Cellular RF Engineer you will be responsible for specifying, following up and verifying third party design activities. The platform can be based on either existing or new components or architectures, coming from our internal component design teams or from external suppliers. In case of commercial chipsets, the integration work is done in collaboration with the supplier. As a member of the RF design team you will be responsible for the RF transceiver design, verification and RF component development activities with external parties.

  A RF design project is done in close co-operation with Base Band and PWB designers, but also in collaboration with SW and system integration engineers. (Senior) Cellular RF Engineer is reporting to RF Lead Engineer.


  Your key tasks and responsibilities will comprise:  

Planning, scheduling and documentation
Driving development of third party RF components, i.e. responsibility for specifications, system verification of the component and technical supplier contacts
Transceiver design and problem solving
Transceiver system performance measurements and verification
Reviewing the implementation of RF design
Understanding of cellular system requirements lOffering expert advice in design details and/or doing practical design
Connecting with your peers within different project stakeholders
  
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering (preferably a M.Sc. in telecommunications RF, electronics) and relevant background with proven track record in a technical discipline. Furthermore we expect:



•5+ years working experience, preferably in wireless handset design
•Good understanding in RF blocks, e.g. receiver, transmitter and PLL
•Hands-on experience in RF trouble shooting and testing
•Experience in RF design tools and measuring equipments, e.g. communication tester, spectrum analyzer and network analyzer
•Knowledge about GSM/EDGE/WCDMA cellular systems
•Fluency in both written and spoken English
•Proactive approach to own task area
•Experience in interfacing with component suppliers
•Networking and communication skills
•Independent way of working and decisiveness
•Ability to effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders .
