【简 介】:
ALOHA is considered to be parent random access protocol used in communication networks. ALOHA protocol was designed by a research group at the University of Hawaii to interconnect a number of packet radio terminals. ALOHA was designed as very simple protocol with minimum control. The protocol was designed for a very light traffic. The idea is that whenever a radio terminal has any packet to transmit then it should transmit the packet without checking the status of the transmission channel. From time to time the transmitted packet will collide, but these can be treated as transmission errors and recovery can take place by retransmission. When traffic is light, the probability of collision is very small hence retransmissions need to be carried out infrequently.
