Job Title: Applications Engineer – MCU Products Division (Based in Singapore) [/COLOR]
Location: Singapore[/COLOR]
Summary: Provides technical and engineering support for MCU based Capacitive Sensing product functionalities and features to support customer and internal design teams.
Essential Functions:
-- Provides direct technical assistance for ICs and software to customers via phone and email.
-- Generates technical documentation in support of product line (e.g. datasheets, application notes).
-- Designs and debugs hardware demonstration and evaluation boards.
-- Generates example MCU firmware and PC software to demonstrate device usage.
-- Participates in product definition and chip design validation.
-- Provides product training for field sales and applications teams.
-- Actively works with customers on design activities.
Education and/or Experience:
A Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 1 year of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 3 years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-- Basic customer interface or teaching skills
-- Good written and verbal communication skills
-- Technical documentation authoring and editing abilities
-- Embedded systems background or course work
-- Familiarity with Capacitive Sensing circuits
-- Familiarity with the usage of ADCs, DACs, and Op-Amps
-- Familiarity with serial communications buses (UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet)
-- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies
-- Ability to troubleshoot and debug systems, circuits, and devices
-- Ability to troubleshoot and debug firmware and software
-- Familiarity with circuit-level (PCB) design and simulation tools
-- Knowledge of proper and effective use of lab test equipment
-- General analog and digital circuit analysis skills
-- Experience giving Electrical Engineering technical presentations (e.g. seminars, teaching in a classroom environment)
-- Knowledge of software programming tools
-- C programming skills
-- Familiarity with 8-bit or 16-bit assembly language.
