Job Description-System Integration and Verification Manager[/COLOR]


Responsibilities include:

• Develop and manage a team of competent and capable resources.
-
Develop and manage a resource and training plan to include core competencies, recruitment and skill development.
-
Develop proactive and responsive team that supports risk-taking, innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

Develop an innovative, high performing and adaptive workforce.
-
Assist Core Team Members in developing internal and external Extended Team relationships.
-
Partner with other Core/Extended Team members to optimize overall project and functional interdependencies.

Provide support and mentoring to functional members.
-
Work with Core Team Member and Extended Team Members to align individual objectives with project objectives.
-
Collaborate with Core Team Leader and Core Team Member to assign functional resources based on project needs, competency  requirements and resource availability
-
Support effective Performance Management of all employees.
-
Seek regular performance feedback about functional resources
-
Share accountability for project success by providing and leveraging functional/technical expertise.
-
Build and influence budget and HC profiles year over year for organizational requirements.
• Lead and build a functional team which exemplifies best-in-class practices to product capability.

Define and implement best in class functional processes, technology, standards and tools for use across projects in support of CDMA portfolio.

Develop, implement and manage functional solutions to meet project objectives

Plan and implement resource (financial and human) capabilities and capacity to capacity to align with product roadmaps and project priorities.

Develop, implement and manage functional solutions to meet project objectives

Ensures organizational competence in working in cross-functional teams
-
Ensure team is responsible to the verification and validation of RF, Network and Standards system engineering design performance by establishing reliability and durability test standards; proving-out system design using computer simulation, system link budget; tolerance, and worst-case analysis. Includes test planning, test case creation & system level test plan execution on end to end CDMA voice and data network.

Focus on System Integration and Verification in ensuring product meets and exceeds design requirements for RF and Network functionality.
-
Interactions with all R&D teams including project managers, product line management, customer service, systems engineering and others.
-
Aaccountable to and responsible for RF system level designs applicable to RF mobility infrastructure and base-stations with demonstrated knowledge performance standards including IS-97, Is-864, radio algorithms.
-
Accountable to and responsible for Safety, Regulatory and Product Integrity requirements for base-stations including UL, CSA, FCC, Telcordia.
• Lead and build a functional team which exemplifies and ensures customer value and support.
-
Ensure capability in team, to work with external organizations in customer issue identification and resolution.
-
Provide input and feedback into system design into system design through close interactions with design teams
-
Focus on System Integration and Verification in ensuring product meets and exceeds design requirements for RF and Network functionality.
-
Interactions with all R&D teams including project managers, product line management, customer service, systems engineering and others.


Skills/Qualifications:[/COLOR]
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering desired
2 years plus Managerial experience and desire to lead coach and mentor developing engineers
Organizational and multi-tasking skills
Initiative and desire to succeed
Business acumen and organizational awareness
Strong decision-making skills
Strong listening, responding and negotiating skills
Directing Work through others and working with others
Understand the needs of both internal and external customers and focuses efforts on fulfilling those needs by adding value.
Demonstrate a drive for results and a sense of urgency approach to the work environment. A “do what it takes” mindset with a positive attitude. Flexibility to function in an environment of multiple and changing priorities.
Demonstrate strong team skills to create effective partnerships with internal customers and supply partners.
