Position: Mobile Handset Design Manager

Position Summary:
Position requires a candidate with significant design experience in wireless handset or handheld devices in the consumer electronics sector. Will be working closely with multiple organizations in China and the United States and leading a design team on Reference Platform for Mobile Handset. Candidate must be a technical lead and subject matter expert to ensure that all aspects of the design are considered from architecture to hardware, software and manufacturability.
Will need to have an intense focus on details and execution excellence, with outstanding organization, project management, and process engineering abilities. Good communication and report writing skills are equally essential to be effective in this role.

Responsibilities:
 Lead the architecture for mobile handset devices to incorporate Digital Terrestrial TV.
 Hire a team of hardware and software engineers to work on mobile handset design.
 Understand relevant technical requirements and mobile architecture and hardware used, and suggest ways to incorporate DTV.
 Organize and participate in technical meetings for handset project.
 Provide status reports and communicate quality metrics to project team and leadership on a periodic schedule
 Run hardware tests and measurements around battery life, signal strength, signal quality.. etc. as required.
 Periodic travel to customer and USA office required.

Required Skills/Experience:
 Must have a Electrical/Electronic degree, and preferably a post graduate degree.
 4+ years of technical experience with mobile devices or mobile applications.
 Must be able to speak and write English. CET 4 or above
 Experience using hardware design tools. ORCAD, PADS, HyperLynx, DxDesigner or equivalent tools.
 Knowledge of wireless communication and application protocols (GSM, CDMA,TCP/IP, SMS, MMS, J2ME) is required
 Knowledge of mobile radio, application processors, wireless RF, battery life and mechanical aspects of mobile devices is required
 Must have worked in mobile cellphone design house, preferably as a manager.
