1.software Engineer –Shanghai (2) & Shenzhen (1)

QUALIFICATION (DETAIL):
Education:
Ø        BSEE/CS minimum.
Ø        MSEE/CS preferred.
Experience:
Ø         At least 2 years embedded software development working experiences
Ø         Hands on experience with embedded CPU (ARM/MIPS) platform sw such as BSP, Driver, boot loader, porting is a plus, etc.
Ø         Familiar with WiFi system, WLAN Routers, network, and gateway protocol.
Ø         Hands on software development experience in embedded OS, including Linux/xBSD and C programming.  
Ø         Eager to learn new technology and Self motivated, good team work player
Ø         Good command of English and Chinese both in speaking and writing.  
Ø         Ability to be reactive to customer needs coupled with superior problem solving and debug capabilities.
Ø         Knowledge and experience in telecomm system, e.g. xDSL, Cable, xPON a plus.

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY:

Ø         Customer software design using Atheros' product.
Ø         The role establishes the person as the technical expert for Atheros' based products.
Ø         Must have high technical competence and be able to provide in-depth technical responses to customers and to the company's FAEs during the pre-sales process.
Ø         Once engaged with a customer, must be able to map out the technical details of a system integration plan, from project start through mass production.
Ø         Will also be involved in qualifying and working with third party partners.
Ø         Will work closely with Atheros' development engineering and program management.


2.Sr. Manager Software (GPS)-Shanghai

QUALIFICATION (DETAIL):
Education:
Ø        Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering;
Experience:
Ø         Minimum 8 years of working experience
Ø         Understanding of embedded system and at least 3 years of experience in embedded software design;
Ø         Project or personnel management experience of at least 1 year;
Ø         Strong verbal and written English communication skills

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY:

To build, manage, and grow software teams and capabilities in Shanghai. Software capabilities include 1. Application; 2. Testing/QA; and 3. Development. They are listed below:
Application
Ø         Porting hosted GPS software to different platforms such as Linux, eCOS, Nucleus, and WinCE;
Ø         Developing integrated GPS system hardware and software solutions based on existing GPS technology to support customers;
Ø         Developing integrated software combining Bluetooth, GPS, and/or WiFi to support combo chips;
Ø         Supporting customer-specific development using SDK (software development kit) and SPK (software porting kit)
Testing/QA
Ø         Building and expanding systematic software testing and QA capacity and capability;
Ø         Implementing and improving company testing and QA process;
Ø         Building road testing and user scenario-specific testing capabilities
Development
Ø         Supporting software development of core GPS software including navigation and measurement in both hosted and embedded environments;
Ø         Software coding support of AGPS, extended ephemeris, dead reckoning, etc.


3.Software management (BeiJing)

Job Responsibility:
The candidate will be responsible for PC/host side device driver and sample application software development. The job responsibility includes team building, setting technical direction, mentoring, maintaining the technical policy as well as delivering the all software with high quality in timely fashion. The job also involves the job and resource assignment and schedule tracking. This position needs to provide the technology leadership to develop outstanding device driver, testing code and applications.


Job Qualification:
•        BS, MS in EE and CS with 8+ year experience required.
•        Strong technical ability is required. Very high technical competence, track record of strong coding and individual technical accomplishments.
•        Experience leading engineering organizations and delivering robust products.
•        Experience in device driver development in Windows and Linux OS.
•        Solid leadership skills, experience building strong engineering teams is required.
•        Strong project-management skills.
•        Proven track record for product delivery.


4.Software Engineer-Shanghai
QUALIFICATION (DETAIL):
Education:
􀂾Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience:
􀂾Experience with wireless drivers and/or other networking drivers
􀂾Knowledge of networking protocols and security concepts
􀂾Bluetooth development experience is highly desired
􀂾Familiarity with hardware debugging
􀂾Experience in release processes, build and packaging
􀂾Windows OS or Unix/Linux driver experience
􀂾Excellent verbal and written communication skills
􀂾Experience with embedded platform development
􀂾Experience with full software life cycle and delivery mechanisms
􀂾Knowledge of multithreading and synchronization in a driver environment
􀂾Strong understanding of OS kernel internals
􀂾Product architecture, design, implementation and testing experience
􀂾Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
