Vacancy Title:           Senior Software Engineer -Device Provisioning
高级软件工程师

Key Job Responsibilities:
l         Assist the Project Manager and Technology Architect preparing detailed requirements for projects based on high-level requirements
l         Get involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle from designing to coding, testing and supporting releases, and implement work packages to specification, on time and to quality expectations.
l         Provide work breakdown estimates based on the design and be committed to meeting delivery dates.
l         Take ownership of a subset of project tasks.
l         Attend and contribute to Peer Reviews
l         Contribute to process improvement
l         Re-factor the architecture of system components to improve the overall performance and enhance users’ experience of the next generation of smart phones
l         Mentor other team members
l         Be able to and actively provide prompt responses to customers’ enquiries.

Essential Requirements:
l         Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Telecom related discipline.
l         >5 years of software development experience
l         Strong C++ experience in a commercial environment
l         Experience of working on embedded systems.
l         Solid Object Oriented Design experience, proficient in software design using UML
l         Proven track record of leading other engineers in design and development
l         Experience in software engineering project life cycles and processes
l         Very good verbal and written English skills
l         Team player, delivery focused, self starter & good communication skills to wide set of audience types and forum (engineers, engineering managers, customers, senior management), influencing and negotiating skills/experience.

Preferred:
l         Symbian OS experience
l         Excellent understanding of Embedded Systems
l         Mobile phone OS development
l         Experience within telecommunications industry standards relating to communication protocols.

About the Team:
This position is within Device Provisioning team and reports to the Engineering Manager within the team. Your role will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the Symbian OS.
The Device Provisioning Technology Stream is responsible for the primary technologies (Device Management and Client Provisioning) used to remotely manage mobile devices. These standardised technologies are in the early stages of industry adoption throughout the main markets used by Symbian devices. There is a need for ongoing development, optimization, enhancement, and extension of the set of Device Provisioning APIs and supporting architecture to meet the growing demands of network operators and handset manufactures.

Vacancy Title:                    Software Engineer – Test Product Development

Key Job Responsibilities:
The test product team is focusing on automated test suite development to verify all Symbian published APIs. We are offering engineers the potential to obtain Symbian knowledge in technology areas as much as possible.

        Identify and design required tests code and scripts
        Develop test product according to specifications using C++
        Maintain existing test software
        Work closely with the development teams and other groups as necessary
        Attend and contribute to Peer Reviews
        Execute/debug tests
        Raise and investigate defects
        Adhere to Symbian test processes and practices

Essential Requirements:
        Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Telecom related discipline.
        > 3 years of software development or testing experience
        Good C++ experience in a commercial environment
        Object Oriented Design experience, proficient in software design using UML
        Experience of software engineering project life cycles and processes

About the Team:
The Test Product technology stream covers all aspects of productisation of test suites for licensees and is responsible for delivering the test suites as the Symbian Verification Suite (SVS) which is released to all Symbian customers to verify their products and enables users develop high-quality test-suites for their own components and applications.
