1、Codec Optimization Engineer (shanghai)

Responsibilities:
·         Experience porting vocoders, on wireless as well as wireline networks, e.g. AMR, G.726, G.729, G.723.1 etc.
·         Thorough understanding of the vocoder algorithms, their voice quality metrics and QOS.
·         able to write a highly optimized code making use of the parallel instructions,
·         have a thorough understanding of digital signal processing algorithms, such as adaptive filters, automatic gain control, VoIP , SPI, SSI, ESAI, I2C, noise Cancellation/reduction, spectral subtraction, sub banding, LMS, RLS, FFT, FIR, IIR etc.
·         demonstrated knowledge of fixed point formats and constraints
·         Good understanding of signaling and transport protocols in wireless networks that provide VOIP service.
·         Build BSPs using uCLinux and GNU/Linux development environments. Implementation is done in fixed point C and assembly code, and further hand optimization is required for efficient use of memory and processing power
·         Experience in writing and automating test scripts for regressions
·         Ability to read schematics and hardware specifications as they relate to embedded DSP.
·         The candidate will resolve the issues in real voice network to guarantee a successful deployment

Qualification:
·         3-5 years experience with digital signal processing and speech processing or VoIP.
·         C/C++  and assembly coding skills
·         hands-on DSP software development experience in a commercially deployed product.
·         good understanding of current wireline, wireless and VoIP codecs
·         a good understanding of voice enhancement algorithms such as echo cancellation, noise suppression and gain control
·         Experience developing and deploying products using gcc/Linux
·         Experience in voice over packet system equipment company will be an asset
·         Solid technical skills / knowledge to drive solutions prototyping & development across a wide range of technically diverse groups
·         Proficiency in IP network architecture and IP network routing protocols
·         Full cycle of software development including detailed analysis, design, implementation, debugging and developer testing

2、Embedded Software Engineer(shanghai)

Job Overview:
The Embedded Software Engineer will work collaboratively with our customers to provide software design and implement support for Atheros chip based on new wireless products. The software will consist of low-level wireless drivers as well as protocol and application enhancements and system extensions. Successful candidates will take the  customers software through the entire development cycle (design, implementation, maintenance).

Duties/Responsibilities:
Providing support to existing software and upgrades
Design and development of firmware and software, including documentation and testing
Work with our ODM partners to develop software requirements, review hardware designs, perform software porting, and troubleshoot problems

Qualifications:
·         BS Computer Science or Electrical engineering, MS preferred
·         2+ years software engineering experience, at least one year of which has been working on embedded devices.

Skills/Experience:
·         Hands-on experience with cellular voice/audio subsystem and algorithms (CODEC, AEC, MP3) implementation is a must.
·         Hands-on design/development experience in Linux/VxWorks and/or other modern embedded RTOS and driver software architecture is required, especially in small-footprint, low power embedded software products.
·         You should have excellent C programming and assembly language programming experience.
·         Experience in hardware bring-up, embedded driver development, BSP development for MIPS, ARM family processors or equivalent system-on-a-chip CPUs is a must as well as strong knowledge of embedded debugging environment tools such as in-circuit emulators and logic analyzers.
·         You should have demonstrated excellent team, communication, and interpersonal skills in addition to strong analytical and problem solving abilities.

Job Description

Qualifications:
l         BS/MS EE, CS or equivalent
l         2-10 years engineering experience with strong programming and debugging skills and experience in debugger implementation area
l         Strong C/C++ experience
l         Experience in one or more of the following: JTAG debugging experience; Compiler & Debugger Development; Linux or Windows CE Embedded operation system experience; ARM or Xscale architecture experience; multicore debug experience
l         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both English and Chinese;
l         A strong self-starter and with excellent team work spirit;

Internal descriptions:
l         He or She is to participate in a number of different areas in software design and development for a multi-core debugger product. The multi-core debugger solution will support various processors including application processors, communication processors with difference CPU architecture (such as ARM, Xscale, MSA, etc). The debugger solution will also provide OS awareness capability to support better OS debugging (such as Linux, Windows Mobile, Nucleus etc). One of the biggest challenges will be to design the debugger to support a processor with 7 cores running simultaneously at current stage.
l         Responsibilities include all phases of development including planning, design, implementation, test, qualification, and release.
l         He or she will work as part of a global team to deliver world-class solutions.
