关于BER测试:Residual type II 与 type II有什么区别?

前几天在坛子里看到一个帖子(现在找不到了),讨论了GSM BER测试时参考哪个参数.
比如,是测type II还是typeIB,收获很大.
刚才看了看8960.有六个参数选择,分别是:
Residual type IA
Residual type IB
Residual type II
type IA
type IB
type II
关键是怎么理解residual.它与正常的信道编码有什么不同?
