Testing of W-LAN receiver performance is very complex. Many error sources need to be considered when evaluating the input level sensitivity, adjacent channel rejection and other important operating parameters. While the test specifications define some requirements, the actual operating performance in a real-world environment will depend on a complex combination of factors.
This eSeminar will describe an innovative approach to W-LAN testing that offers exceptional versatility. This new approach is based on the integration of the test and measurement environment and the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software environment. This integration results in many benefits including the ability to easily produce very complex signal impairments for receiver evaluation under multidimensional interference, the ability to analyze portions of a hardware prototype when some portions of the hardware circuit are not yet available, and the ability to perform fully-coded BER and PER measurements. Examples will be used to illustrate each of these applications.
Who Should Attend:
Engineers working to design wireless LAN products or integrate WLAN into other products, especially where RF testing is needed; W-LAN RFIC designers.
