Travel Requirements:
Occasional (2-4 times/yr) long-haul travel to the UK for meetings and training.  Regular short-haul travel to customers, key partners, trade shows and conferences.

Required Skills:
•         10yrs experience in semiconductors, with a minimum of 2yrs of customer-facing experience
•         In-depth experience of multimedia technology, particularly GPU, with knowledge and experience of ISP and video desirable
•         Good working knowledge of CPUs and development tools
•         In-depth knowledge of one application segment, demonstrating system-level expertise
•         Understanding of the IP licensing process
•         Good analytical and problem-solving skills
•         Good interpersonal skills
•         Able to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Target Capabilities and Skills:
As part of a team of experienced, accomplished professionals, you will be working with a range of customers, from early stage start-ups through to leading blue chips, collaborating with local sales to close agreements.  Working as a part of a team, you will have the following responsibilities:
•        Guiding the customer’s PowerVR multimedia and MIPS CPU IP selection to optimise performance, power and area (PPA).
•        Supporting the local sales team by driving pre-sales technical support towards deal closure.
•        Supporting benchmarking and competitive analysis.
•        Driving achievement of regional sales budget in concert with local sales.
•        Help develop strategies and tactics to penetrate specific customers/applications.
•        Networking and presenting at relevant exhibitions, conferences, trade shows and industry forums.
•        Regular internal reporting using appropriate company processes and systems.
•        Communicate with other team members to share best practise and coordinate global customer engagements.

Working Environment:
The solutions engineering team is spread globally across Imagination facilities, reporting into a US-based director.  The successful candidate will work in a dynamic office environment located in Shanghai, alongside R&D, sales, solutions engineering and marketing personnel. The environment is informal and the organisation possesses a good social scene. The work often entails tight deadlines and the role has a high information load, commensurate with the sheer dynamism of the technology industry.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electronics/computing or equivalent (required) and a master’s degree in electronics/computing or equivalent (desirable).
