IE3D 11.5, AGIF 11.5 and FIDELITY 5.0 Release Announcement
We are pleased to announce the release of IE3D 11.5, AGIF 11.5 and FIDELITY 5.0. IE3D and AGIF 11.5 feature the following:
(1) Implementation of Full-wave Accelerated Simulation Technology Algorithm (FASTA) for high efficiency full-wave EM simulations of large structures: IE3D FASTA can simulate a generally large structure using much reduced RAM and simulation time. Unlike other fast algorithms, IE3D FASTA does not have any obvious limitations and the kinds of structure it can handle. It does not lose the full-wave nature of the original IE3D engine and it can yield faster results using much less computational resources with little loss in accuracy.
(2) Implementation of cross-platform, Windows and Linux compatible AGIF interface for IE3D: AGIF allows users to create IE3D models, perform IE3D simulations and visualize simulation results directly from GDSII layouts and Cadence Allegro layouts. IE3D AGIF is fully integrated into Cadence Virtuoso Custom Design Platform for RFIC designs. AGIF 11.5 allows users to create templates for automatic layout conversions, perform IE3D simulations and display s-parameters without leaving the Linux environment. It is the 1st IE3D package allowing complete IE3D cycle (modeling, simulation and visualization) inside Linux environment.
(3) Implementation of Antenna Correlation calculation: Antenna Correlation is a measure on how good multiple antennas can work together. It is very critical to MIMO applications. The new feature will be very useful for modern wireless antenna designs.
FIDELITY 5.0 features:
(1) Windows 64 simulation engines allowing access of more than 2 GB RAM.
(2) Formula based modeling for easy editing and tuning of geometry.
(3) Automatic detection and adjustment of simulation domain.
(4) Improved support for ACIS files.
(5) Implementation of Ddetail View, Outline View and Meshed View for better visualization.
(6) Full automatic non-uniform meshing for automated FDTD simulations.
(7) Streamlined geometry modeling, FIDELITY simulations, post-processing and results display.
(8) Run-time monitoring time domain signals.
(9) Implementation of automatic detections of simulation convergence in both frequency and time domain for reliable results.
(10) Integrated automatic S-parameters extraction and display.
(11) DSP based S-parameter extraction for removing the resonance effects within the structure.
(12) Integrated automatic radiation pattern calculation and display.
(13) Capability of general radiation pattern calculation for antenna radiation patterns with any excitation and load combinations.
(14) Support for modeling antennas with infinite substrates and ground planes.
We will be showing our products in the IEEE IMS 2006 in San Francisco, June 13-15 2006 (Booth #1223), IEEE APS 2006 in Albuquerque in July 10-14 2006, and DAC 2006 in July 24-28 2006.
