Abstract<P>The design and implementation of PC video signal ADC and DAC modules, which is a part of the PC wireless video transmission adapter that is based on the WDK (Wireless Developer Kit) of the Freescale’s UWB chipset, is presented in this paper. According to the system demand, an overall arrangement has been carried out, so as the design of software and hardware. The whole system is devided into two circuit boards of “host computer terminal adapter” and “display terminal adapter”, which used AD9883A (ADC) and ADV7125 (DAC) as the core chips. One of the most important things in the design is to get back the pixel clock. So here used the PLL chip ICS1523 to generate the clock from the HSYNC (Horizontal Sync) input. Besides, by using MCU 89C51 to control the I2C bus, the two circuit boards initialized the registers of AD9883A and ICS1523 respectively. And in course of testing, some discussions were made on the selections of different DATACLKs and HSYNCs.
The video-interface digitalized adapter implemented in this paper can work under multiple commonly used modes. The display effects are comparable to that of host-monitor direct connection, which achieves the original purpose.</P><P>Key word: VGA, Video A/D D/A convert, I2C, PLL</P> |
