Hi all,
1) can a wire antenna produce a circularly polarized radiation?I think that the wire antenna has only electrical field in the phi direction so this would result in a linear polarization, am i right?
if the wire antenna does not produce circular polarization, what type of antenna does?
2) is the frequency of operation of the antenna related only by its length or is there any other parameters? Can someone provide me with the relationship?
I'm asking all these questions because i am trying to build an antenna with the following specs:
the frequency of operation is between f=8-12GHz,
BW=.1f
elliptical polarization with an axial ratio between 1 and 2 (in other words, as circularly polarized as possible).
the directivity>15 dBi
gain>12 dBi.
Can someone suggest for me useful websites or online materials about how to build antennas?
