Job Description :
As a member of the TEKELEC CODC development team, will be responsible for the design, development and Maintenance of Signalling Gateway software subsystem.

Duties of the Position:
Participate in all phases of the development cycle, including feature definition,design, coding, testing, system integration, documentation, and support. Collaboration with other internal and external product development teams is expected so complete solutions are provided. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent

Skill Requirements:
3+ years of development engineering experience in telecommunications is required
Strong understanding and experience with formal software development processes is required
Strong experience in RTOS(pSOS, VxWorks, etc.), UNIX, and C/C++ is required
1+ years of hands-on development experience with the following telephony standards and protocols: MTP3/MTP2, M3UA/SCTP
Experience in developing high availability systems is required
Formal development environment experience (source code management, bug and problem tracking, release packaging and load building) is required
Good written/orial English is required
Understanding of MEGACO, RTP, MTP3b/SSCOP/ALCAP protocols is highly desired
Understanding of VoIP technologies, network architecture and related applications is desired
Understanding of other SS7 related protocols, e.g. ISUP/SCCP/RANAP/BSSAP/TCAP is desired
Understanding of other SIGTRAN protocols, e.g. M2UA/M2PA/SUA is desired

Customer Service Engineer - Switching - China
Job Location: Shanghai, China

Job Description:
-Perform implementation and commissioning activities.
-Provide technical support to all in-service sites and customer trials.
-Interface with customer service at HQ locations for process and next level support.
-Responsible for the processes such as the problem reporting and tracking system.
-Prioritization of service requests and escalations.
-Responsible for the processes associated with providing customer support.
-Weekly status reports for assigned activity / ensure activity completion / removal of project roadblocks.
-Attendance at pre-sales and post-sales customer meetings.
-Represent Tekelec in post sales responsibilities / support

Summary of Qualifications:
-BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
-Minimum of 5-8 years industry experience.
-Commissioning / technical support experience in tele- / data communication networks.
-Technology / Communication protocols: Advanced knowledge of GSM, CDMA, SS7, C7, TCP/IP, ISDN, Frame Relay, ATM and Cisco and other routers. Knowledge of UNIX, Sun Solaris.
-Familiar with signaling, switching, Soft Switch and concepts of UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) and VOIP.
-Experience with Alcatel S12, Lucent 5ESS, Siemens EWSD, Nortel DMS-100, Huawei or other switching and STP equipment desired.
-Understanding of LAN/WAN applications in a telephony environment and ability to interpret and develop detailed network installation drawings essential.
-Must possess excellent English and mandarin written and oral communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of customer and internal personnel.
-Flexible to travel and extended work hours.
