Mindspeed's High Performance Analog (HPA) division is looking for a hands-on analog IC design manager who can lead a growing team of engineers developing state-of-the-art broadband analog ICs.

Job Description

--Provide technical leadership and guidance to a growing team of analog IC designers in the broadband analog domain.
--Drive every phase of an IC project development: starting with product definition, design partitioning and architecture, scheduling, technical design, layout supervision and design verification\validation supervision.
--Provide mentorship and training as needed to junior designers and drive local design methodologies and practices.
--Communicate fluently, both verbally and in writing, with other global design centers and participate in product definition and evolution.
--Identify techniques and methodologies for site development and improvement.

Requirements

--The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree and 5+ years of direct experience. The minimum requirement is an MSEE degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
--Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Candidate must possess experience creating and executing detailed yet effective technical presentations to internal groups and customers.
--Proven analog circuit design skills is and absolute requirement as is an in-depth knowledge of circuit simulation tools such as Spectre, HPSICE or ADS.
--A strong understanding of broadband digital communication circuits and standards such as digital video, Ethernet, SATA/SAS, PCI Express, 10BaseT, SONET, etc. is highly desired.
--Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl, Matlab, C  and/or 3D electro-magnetic field simulators such as Ansoft HFSS is desirable.
--Practical bench experience testing and or evaluating broadband ICs using TDR, VNA, BERTs, DCAs/oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers is also highly valued.
--Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
