Job Title: W-CDMA ACCESS RNC Product Support Engineer
Location: Shanghai, China
Provide advanced technical support on UMTS RNC product for worldwide customers
Responsibility:
1. Provide skilled technical support for UMTS access products
2. Investigate and identify issue in the Call Processing RNC software application
3. Responsible for
a) Day to day RNC issue resolution (product/SW investigation)
b) Perform software patch to solve field issue
c) To be interface to customer
d) Support test activity to validate fix in test environment
4. Propose and validate technical solution and action plan regarding to product/ customer assistance
5. Proactively investigate technical issues and manage resulting resolution plan
6. Provide tools and recommend changes to existing processes for supportability improvement
7. Ensure solutions have been tested and validated either by reviewing results of tests or performing the actual tests
8. Participate on-site missions to manage critical customer or program issues
9. Involved in product evolution process to propose enhancement for the RNC product
maintenance
10. Work together with global team on field support
Requirement:
1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
2. Good experience of Wireless Products (GSM, GPRS or CDMA)
3. Familiar with UMTS standards/protocols and UMTS Access Products
4. Good problem resolution and negotiation skills
5. Good analysis skills and ability to take decisions under pressure
6. Very good communication skills and ability to convince
7. Familiar with Unix environment
8. Customer oriented
9. Good oral and written English
10. Team working spirit
