This document is part of a set that describes QUALCOMM’s radioOne RFICs and how best to
use them. The radioOne chipset implements direct conversions from RF to baseband and vice
versa, completely eliminating receive and transmit intermediate frequencies to reduce component
count and space. This radio architecture is referred to as Zero-IF (or ZIF), emphasizing that there
is no IF or that IF is really baseband, centered at zero Hz.
The Cellular-only radioOne chipset includes:
RFR6125-1 or RFR6125-2 RF-to-Baseband Receiver IC (RFR6125-2 adds AMPS mode)
RFT6120 or RFT6102 Baseband-to-RF Transmitter IC (RFT6102 adds AMPS mode)
PM6XXX Power Management IC
MSM6XXX Digital Processor IC
This RFR6125 device specification is organized as follows:
Chapter 1 Provides a high-level description of the RFR6125 IC, lists the device features,
lists terms and acronyms used throughout this document.
Chapter 2 Defines the IC pin assignments.
Chapter 3 Describes how the IC is controlled and defines its operating modes.
Chapter 4 Defines the IC electrical performance specifications. |
