ØSystem Architecture
Most digital communication system have the Rf and Baseband, Rf is complete the signal receiving and transmitting, modulation and demodulation./ The signal transformation, codec, and work control of MS is execute by Baseband.
Nokia Mobile phone is base on this architecture, including the newest generation DCT4 Mobile engine. The Hagar Rf IC finish most of the Rf task for both GSM and PCN. The difference for the DCT3 and DCT4 is focus on Baseband architecture. But they also have a lot of common place, it is also a dual core system (MCU and DSP) in one integrated IC, call UPP, the CCONT, COBBA, CHAPS, UI DRV are integrate into one IC, call UEM, it occupy less PCB space and less Power consumption, all this make DCT4 a good mobile engine for future Nokia Mobile Station.
