Senior Platform EngineerPosition Purpose:Design and implementation of key driver components with a focus on code quality and performance on custom RTOS.Key Responsibilities:• Design and implementation of key driver components with a focus on code quality and performance. • Execute development plans with minimal guidance• Monitor, track and report development progress to management• Maintain existing drivers  on the previous chip;• Provide technical assistance to junior engineers• Travel to North American / Far East customer sites as well as participate in late evening conference calls on a as needed basisEducation Requirement:University degree in computer science or electrical engineeringSkills and Experience Requirements:1. Min 5 year of low level (C, C++) and OS integration experience (Required)   2. Solid understanding of real time operating system, build environment and all related development tools. (Required)    3. Knowledge of video display formats, video scaling, and colour space formats. (Required)  4. Experience with MPEG 1/2/4 video codecs and video capture issue. (Required)   5. Knowledge of CPU / BUS architectures. (Required)  6. 3D performance optimized graphics drivers (OpenGL or D3D). (Optional)7. Experience with I2C, GPIO, and DMA (Optional)Staff EngineerPosition Purpose:Manages graphic/multi-media driver development and software solutions for ATI handheld graphic device on custom RTOS.Key Responsibilities:• Planning, resource management, risk assessment and project tracking of all driver development activities as required to support custom RTOS  and customer-requested features, new derivative ASIC support and general enhancements. • Provide timely support and coordinate closely with ATI's  Program Management team to ensure customers are being delivered a level of support reflecting ATI's leadership position in the 2D/3D graphics and multimedia market. • Monitor, track and report development progress. • Apply technical expertise to accurately define the scope of the development tasks, project schedule and required resources.• Detailed hands on knowledge of all technical issues and key stakeholder in driving problems to resolution.• Track program execution, drive risk mitigation plans, and facilitate trade-offs to ensure that the development stays on track.Education Requirement:University degree in computer science or electrical engineeringSkills and Experience Requirements:1. Time management skills and ability to communicate across functional teams. (Required)2. Varity of RTOS experience. (Required)3. Graphics, MPEG and video capture knowledge. (Optional) 4.
