【简　介】:Abstract: This letter deals with symbol timing estimation
methods in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing
(OFDM) system. To do this, we modify an OFDM system
using a symbol repetition coupled with a cyclic time shifting.
Our approach can be viewed as an expansion of Schmidl’s
and Minn’s correlation methods. Using the proposed
OFDM signal, however, we can estimate timing offset
without additional training symbol.
