The Toshiba TC358740XBG camera bridge is optimized for mobile handsets using an MDDI high-speed serial digital packet host interface and high-resolution camera sensors with a MIPI Camera Serial Interface (CSI). The bridge can interface to two independent cameras. The primary camera is over a MIPI link and the secondary camera is over a MIPI link or parallel port, but only one camera can be active at a time.
The bridge supports MDDI 1.2 Type 2 withup to 800 Mbps per data lane times 2 data lanes on the host side. The bridge supports MIPI CSI on the camera side with up to 800 Mbps per data lane times two data lanes for the primary camera, and a single data lane for the secondary camera or an 8-bit parallel port For dual camera support, a 49-pin package is used. For single camera support, a 36-pin package is used.
