Role description:

The main role of Sr. SI design engineer is to take charge of SI/PI R&D and test task in the whole product life cycle from the pre-study phase to mass production phase. He/She will be one member of EMC team in HW department, and work together with Software, Mechanical and Test House team to solve SI/PI issue. He/She will be responsible for SI/PI risk pre-evaluation, relative hardware development, simulation and validation. He/She guarantees the SI/PI risk of the products can be minimized or be well controlled to match project schedule under company\'s Product Development Process (PDP)

Operational responsibilities
 Participate in Pre-study phase and generate the SI/PI design target from the product definition, certification standard, or key component datasheet
 Select suitable components and participate schematic/layout design from SI/PI point of view
 Generate layout constrain rules for ECAD engineer to achieve good SI/PI performance, review the layout file and provide suggestion
 Do pre- and post- simulation to assist schematic and layout design
 Take the full responsibility of key signal SI/PI test, including both R&D debug/evaluation test and standard test, such as USB/HDMI/MIPI/PDN test, etc.

Development responsibilities
 Track technology trend in SI/PI fields
 Deep research on the high speed signal standards, such as HDMI/MIPI/DigRF, etc.
 Study and evaluate new simulation tools
 Develop new debug/evaluation method, test software or test system
 Perform SI/PI study by simulation and evaluation. Base on the results, to generate the general design rules from SI/PI point of view.

Experience (Working/Education):
 At least three years of SI/PI design/validation experience for electronics product.
 Bachelor degree above. EE/EMC/Telecommunication/Microwave major is preferred.
 Skilled in high speed signal test and validation

Skill & Knowledge (Techniques/Technologies/Methodologies)
 Knowledge of SI/PI theory, Test method and Models (IBIS,Spice,Hspice and so on)
 Knowledge of Mobile Phone/Computer/Server HW design
 Knowledge of each high speed interface (HDMI,MIPI,MDDI,USB and so on)
 Familiar with at least two of the following simulation tools: Agilent ADS, CST MWS, ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS SIwave, Cadence PCB SI/PI, Zeland IE3D.
 Skilled in high speed test instrument, probe and interconnection
 Fluent spoken and written English skill
