I think you do not understand my point:
when you supply on/off volt to Vpd, if the on / off signal is idea, then in the transient period between on and off, abundance of spurious signal will be generated, as a consequence, Vcc supply current Ivcc will have these strong spurious signals too, idea short is needed to protect these signals from feeding to MMIC; so careful selection of capacitors are needed, not only short for RF but also short for the spurious; SPA used in probing Vcc pad can show you how strong and what frequency are these spurious;
BTW: your Vbias is always on, right? and what I mean the quarter wavelength line is too thin is the copper foil thickness, most people used traditional 1/2 oz, but it is suggested to use 1 oz or 2 oz in high power situation |
